Academic Integrity
Work done for this course must adhere to the University Academic Integrity Policy, which you can review by visiting
http://condor.depaul.edu/-handbook/code17.html
DePaul University is a learning community that fosters the pursuit of knowledge and the transmission of ideas with a context emphasizes a sense of responsibility for oneself, for other and for society at large. Violations of academic integrity, in any of their forms, are, therefore, detrimental to the values of DePaul and to the students’ own development as responsible members of society. Please review your Student Handbook for DePaul’s policy on plagiarism and other unacceptable academic practices. Copying material from sources without proper acknowledgment, borrowing material from other students and not contributing your fair share of the workload in a group-assignment are not tolerated at DePaul and in this course. For specifics on academic writing standards, please consult your Student Handbook manual, “Writing in the Liberal Studies,” for instructions about proper citation and referencing of the work of others in class assignments. You should also visit the Student Writing Center if you do not have experience writing academic papers. Required Texts and Course Reader
