ADDENDUM B: Author’s Vita
David M. Mislan is a doctoral candidate and adjunct lecturer at Rutgers University. Born in
1976, he holds a B.A. in history and political science from Livingston College and an M.A. in
government from The Johns Hopkins University. He studies international relations and
American politics and teaches courses on American foreign policy, international relations
theory, and the U.S. Congress. Mr. Mislan is currently the faculty advisor to the Rutgers
University Model UN (RUMUN) and Rutgers Model Congress (RMC) and teaches courses
that bridge the curricular and the extra-curricular for those programs’ student volunteers.
He has been continuously involved in model UN simulations since 1990 as a high school
student, a college student, a student affairs administrator, and, now, as a faculty advisor.
