Online Pedagogy: New Strategies in Distance Education
Unformatted Document Text:  There is considerable academic research on distance education and the various learning styles. For this project, I will demonstrate how various learning styles can be incorporated into an online course. Aragon, Johnson, and Shaik’s research shows that while significant differences can be found between the learning style of the online students and the learning style of in-class students, these differences are not significant when success factors were controlled. The research suggests that students can learn equally well in either delivery format, regardless of learning style, provided the course is developed with clear instructional design guidelines.
