NCATE/ACEI Standard 1.6; Standard 2.5 And Special Education Training See: Standard 2.5 • Assessing and documenting student achievement that took place during the lesson. NCATE/ACEI Standard 2 • Submitting a reflective journal and evaluation based on the experience. NCATE/ACEI Standard 1.10 • Participating in professional education activities outside of class. NCATE/ACEI Standard 1.10 The cooperating teacher’s participation is in serving as the model and evaluator for the candidate. The teacher is asked to assign a lesson to be taught with appropriate Virginia Standards of Learning for the lesson. Cooperating Teacher responsibilities include: • Selecting a topic and Content SOL to be taught in the classroom. • Signing or completing the assessment forms, including: o Field Experience Log Sheet o Lesson Plan Evaluation o Final Evaluation
