Teacher Work Sample Methodology and Teacher Quality: Methods and Data
| |
| | Unformatted Document Text:
A. Learner/participant outcomes: Describe what you intend the participants to learn during the
session.
The presenters will suggest outcomes that may result from the use of the teacher work sample method. Participants will be provided with a working TWS model that has been piloted and is now fully operational. Successes and pitfalls will be discussed. Participants will be encouraged to share things they have experienced that relate to assessment of candidates based on student learning.
B. Methods: Describe how you will design the session so that the learner/participant outcomes
are achieved.
Each presenter describe a different aspect of the TWS development, implementation, modification and dissemination, and there will be a question and answer session. Specific data will be provided. Since the presenters have been involved in varied ways in the development and/or implementation of the TWS and with NCATE, participants will get very practical answers to their questions. The presenters believe that the knowledge and experiences of participants can also contribute to the knowledge base of the others attending the session.
