Unformatted Document Text:  As teacher educators, we understand the importance of dialogue to understanding the complexity of cultural diversity and supporting the development of teaching practices that will meet the needs of all learners. There will be minimal “talking heads” portions of the presentation and I will make it as interactive as possible (questions and answers, generation of ideas of activities, how to handle resistant preservice teachers, etc.). I will also have handouts for the participants. References Burant, T. J. & Kirby, D. (2002). As teacher educators, we understand the importance of dialogue to understanding the
complexity of cultural diversity and supporting the development of teaching practices
that will meet the needs of all learners. There will be minimal “talking heads” portions of
the presentation and I will make it as interactive as possible (questions and answers,
generation of ideas of activities, how to handle resistant preservice teachers, etc.). I will
also have handouts for the participants.
