Abstract:
|
This paper will demonstrate that military and civil intelligence are oxymorons. Though it'll look at US failures regarding the Bay of Pigs and the 2nd Iraq War, it'll also look at some other episodes:
i. US in WWI
ii. Pearl Harbor
iii. Battle of the Bulge
iv. Faulty intelligence re Sitka and Attu
v. The 1950 North Korean Invasion
vi. The Chinese-Soviet split in 1960-61
vii. The economic and poliytical decline of the USSR in the 1980s
viii. The failure to predict the 1998 Indian nuclear tests
ix. Failure to anticipate 9/11 |
