Latino who was pro- or anti-war.
As more and more Latinos enter the armed forces and thereafter become veterans,
this topic will no doubt grow in importance. Further, most military analysts have
predicted that a significant number of U.S. troops will remain deployed in Iraq through
the end of the decade. Thus, the 2008 presidential election is likely to revolve around
similar war-related issues and the military service of candidates, providing an important
opportunity for further research into this topic.
