Profile 2: John Griffin
John Griffin political career began in the 1980’s when he was inspired to a career in public service following the
death of his father who served as Governor in the 1970’s. “Growing up surrounded by dedicated public servants
inspired me to stand up and pursue that same standard of excellence,” Griffin said. After serving for five terms in the
state legislature, Griffin’s experienced campaign team has highlighted his leadership in state government throughout
the election season. Griffin has said that if elected, his priorities in office would include the development of an
employment opportunities program similar to the plan he initiated on a state level several years ago.
