This paper studies national image building as a part of Chinese foreign policy. It examines the national images the PRC government has sought to project in the last fifty years, evaluates and explains the effectiveness (or the lack thereof) of China's image building efforts, and explores the impact of China's projected images on its foreign policy behaviors. |
