educational systems at once. Russia acting as a “mediator” would be able to take an
active part in the Bologna process and to develop its most valuable components. In this
respect it is possible if not to overcome then at least to take the edge off the Versailles
syndrome which Russia obtained as an outcome of the Cold War.
