Abstract:
|
This paper explores cultural governance in the United States of America since 9/11 through to the Gulf War in 2003. Through examining comic books such as Spiderman, films such as The Hulk and magazines such as Vanity Fair, the paper seeks to illustrate how notions of U.S. power and identity become reproduced as a spectacle of security that traverses the line of separation between popular culture and war. |
