BUSH’S NATIONAL SECURITY UNIVERSE: PHRASES OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN DISPUTE

tion of ‘precision war’ as a ‘different kind of war’ enables US free from the ‘others’ to redefine
the war that no one else is able to wage. Therefore in the future, paradoxically US will philoso-
phically wage wars - without need to have enemies - only with itself. This is a different kind of
war, which is the real vulnerability of the war it will fight. The ‘different kind of war’ is revolution-
ary and efficient story for the war machine because President Bush has told us about his excep-
tional dream of the perpetual war on terror. Still, it is according to the logic of American thinking
to look for the future that has an opportunity to be better in the words of President Bush: “Amer-
ica looks to the future with confidence (Bush 2004j)â€. It is not just information technology that
offers this opportunity to be more efficient in the war, but it is an American Dream that drives
President Bush’s narrative of ‘different kind of war’.
