Abstract:

Process of economic transition in Macedonia is marked with specific features of economic region which has been traditionally periphery of the larger economic unit (from Ottoman Empire to socialist Yugoslavia). Region with most intensive outflow of labor in the Balkans, has small chances to develope its own center of economic gravity. Author is suggesting possible ways to cope with this issue. |
