Abstract:

This paper provides micro and macro perspectives on the conflict over the territorial status of Kashmir. The micro picture analyzes the strategic bargaining among the key decision makers and identifies potential solutions to the conflict. The analysis follows on previous work while updating changes following elections in 2004. The macro analysis considers the dynamics over the next half century and outlines the likelihood of conflict in the region. |
