Abstract:
|
My paper provides an analysis of which factors increase the likelihood of a minority being nominated for a seat on the U.S. Courts of Appeals. Drawing on a variety of datasets, I model several variables that affect this process. Specifically, I show that presidential ideology and minority representation in the U.S. House of Representatives influence the likelihood of minority nominations to the U.S. Courts of Appeals. |
