Abstract:

The communities of Ambos Nogales on the U.S.-Mexico border compose a unique context for examining patterns of information-seeking. This paper tests the comprehensive model of information seeking which predicts the breadth of channels and scope of sources of information seeking with a sample of youth from this region. The results indicate the data were not consistent with the model but were consistent with a revised model. Implications for information seeking theory and practice are discussed.
