Abstract:

Popular culture often portrays feminists as “feminazis.” This study is interested in how feminists move past the negative stigma to a positive identity. Feminists were interviewed their definitions and experiences of feminism, awareness of stigma, importance of feminist communities, feminist moms, and the intersection of feminist identities with other identities.
