Abstract:

This paper is an analysis of the cultural identity construction and the contestations of cultural conflict among migrant families. Using participant observation and focus group discussions, an exploration of the role of mass-mediated content in simulating cultural locales and borderlands is forged. Through narrative analysis, the process of acculturation among these families is examined.
