There is very little documentation of the media history of The Bahamas. Besides a few dissertations and theses, there are no published materials on Bahamian media history. Pactor’s work is based on the evidence presented in the two national dailies (the Nassau Guardian and Nassau Tribune). He did not use the colonial papers stored at the Bahamas National Archives, which provide a more textured explanation of the development of broadcasting. 4.
