The study also tries to answer the following two research questions: RQ1: Does newspaper’s region of coverage affect the interactivity of the Internet newspapers? RQ2. Does newspaper ownership affect the interactivity of Internet newspapers? METHOD This study used content analysis to examine interactivity of Internet newspapers. In addition to content analysis, an email survey was employed to collect information concerning length of Web presence and online technical staff of Internet newspapers. Sampling Online newspapers listed on the Web site of American Journalism Review ( http://newslink.org/daynews.html , 2002) served as the sampling frame of the study. The site was considered the most up-to-data lists of newspapers online (Schultz, 1999; Pack, 2001) and listed over 1400 daily Newspapers in the United States.
