These people commit suicide. You can’t deter them, you must
dismantle the empire quickly. Battle lines are drawn -- those
dancing and rejoicing over the murder of Americans, others … (we
all) are grieving, it’s important to take that grief, understand we’ve
received a wakeup call from hell. You don’t look for the roots of
this to try to understand, you stamp it out. You didn’t look at the
roots of Hitler and say maybe he was justified, you say Naziism is
evil, no matter what the reasons, it must be stamped out. The same
must be said about terrorism, it’s evil, no matter what grievance
real or imagined the supporters put forth. Deliberate murder of
innocent civilians -- It is an evil that must be wiped off the face of
the earth or it will wipe us off the face of the earth.
You have to pray God will give free society the perseverance to
wipe out this evil. We have the courage, as a free people, ... that
freedom, the flame burning on the statue of liberty, they wanted to
extinguish that torch, they didn’t succeed, the flame will extinguish
them.

There can be no compromise, and this attack must be answered or the door will be
open for far more tragic and destructive assaults. Peace is not possible, and all potential
