The uses, attitudes and expectations of the utilization of Internet for educational purposes was studied in samples of Students, Mothers and Teachers in Monterrey, Mexico . I. Problem and Background Information The incorporation of Internet in Universities and Secondary schools has been widely done in many countries, not so in Mexico. Mexico is in the process, the projects have started in the Private Universities and Schools. The project includes various research studies with different groups of people, University students, Mothers, and Teachers. For the University students , the Uses and Gratifications approach is used in regards to Internet for class projects. The students evaluate the various aspects of Internet for final papers. A Controlled Experiment of University students was conducted . The objective of the experiment is to find out where do the students learn more, through reading a news story from the computer or from a piece of paper. For the Mothers , the attitude and perceptions towards the use of Internet , by their children for academic purposes is studied. For the Teachers a Focus Group was conducted.

The uses, attitudes and expectations of the utilization of Internet for educational
