Abstract:

Due to high-stakes assessments, schools have begun to eliminate all or most recess time for grades 3-5 in Texas. This presentation will review a recently completed study, which investigated if there was a difference in student achievement between schools that offered one recess per day as compared to campuses who provided multiple recesses per school day.
