Abstract:

This qualitative study investigated changes in teacher candidate’s perceptions of urban schools as they completed a four-year teacher education program. Results indicated that multiple field-experiences working with students in urban schools reduced stereotypical views, and increased positive changes in attitude and commitment to teaching.
