A Collaborative Distance Technology Model Preparing Educators to Serve Diverse Learners in High Need Schools

Learner/participant Outcomes Participants in this session will have an opportunity to experience the technology in action and will be able to interact with the presenters in person and a classroom teacher through distance technology. They will be able to walk away from the session with an understanding of how web conferencing works and how it can be applied to teaching and learning, as well as collaboration with diverse settings. B. Methods Copies of handouts and other materials will be made available to participants. Through the use of a wireless laptop computer participants will be able to interact with a classroom teacher web-casting from one of the selected sites, and depending upon the time of the presentation, may be able to observe teacher candidates interacting with a classroom in real time.
