Abstract:
|
This paper explores the problem of peacetime violent deaths among the success states to the Soviet Union. It suggests that cross-national disparities in the incidence of violent deaths are not adequately explained by post-Soviet upheavals and transformations, and are better understood as rooted in the historical factors and pre-existing particularities of the former Soviet republics. |
