Abstract:

Conservative social thought can be rooted in a Darwinian conception of the imperfectibility of evolved human nature. This paper summarizes the arguments for such a Darwinian conservatism. It responds to some of the criticisms of Darwinian conservatism coming from recent books by four conservative authors--Harvey Mansfield, Peter Lawler, Carson Holloway, and Ann Coulter. |
