Abstract:

This presentation aims to raise awareness of unique psychosocial, developmental, and sociocultural issues that many youth confront daily as a self-identified African American lesbian between ages 12 and 22. The impact of these stressors are revealed through personal interviews. Clinical recommendations are provided to those invested in positive mental health outcomes for these youth.
