Abstract:

This session will focus on high-leverage, interactional classroom strategies and activities that will allow our students to continually expand their speaking ability. Activities, which include individual, pair and small group work, will be anchored in the Novice and Intermediate ranges of proficiency with an eye toward understanding what it takes to be classified as an Advanced speaker. The handout will include activities covered during the workshop in addition to others that can be used in the proficiency-oriented classroom.
