Abstract:

This Power Point session reports the process and data results of an original research project involving over eighty first semester Spanish students. Session attendees explore interactively problems and solutions to the linguistic and cultural challenges facing beginning students researching the TL on the Internet and presenting cultural perspectives in the TL before peers. The session includes a discussion of pedagogical concerns and the instructional design of the project. Participants will learn how to develop their own instructional model, and will receive details (TL search engines, web sites, sample student Power Point projects.).
