Teacher Preparation Program Accountability Through Data Organization and Triangulation

Learner/Participant Outcomes Participants will learn strategies and applications using common data sources to support program review, NCATE Standards 1 and 2, and unit accountability and improvement needs. Effective organization and triangulation of data will be emphasized. Participants will learn analysis techniques for data from internal sources (GPA, departmental exams, university student teaching evaluations, and portfolio) and external sources (Praxis I & II, Title II reports, employer/alumni surveys, critic teacher student teaching evaluations, and state induction reports). Participants will receive examples of data collection instruments, rubrics, and report formats for portfolio, diversity, dispositions, candidate impact on student learning, departmental exams, and student teaching evaluations. B. Methods The two presenters will distribute and discuss examples of instruments, rubrics, and reports for 5-8 minutes each, then open the session for discussion and sharing of ideas.

A. Learner/Participant Outcomes
