Abstract:
|
A review article assessing the State failure literature and failure's consequences for international security. I argue the term is used too loosely and a limited definition holds more potential utility in the contemporary security environment. Furthermore, analytical precision helps us to evaluate alternative policy options and the set of 'failed states' each targets. Truly failed States are not well served by the international community's insistence that economic and political support will resuscitate them. |
