The presentation will highlight some of the geospatial technologies, tools, and techniques the USDA NRCS utilizes to develop watershed boundary data sets. It will also look at some of the recent changes in the data and feature selective samples of the coastal lands data sets. The objective of the Watershed Boundary Dataset is to create a consistent, seamless, and hierarchical watershed boundary dataset based on topographic and hydrologic features across the country and to provide more detailed delineation – at the watershed and sub-watershed levels and in digital format for local use, consistent with other national seamless databases. The presenters will also share observations about the effective utilization of remote sensing technologies.
