Unformatted Document Text:   Diagnostic Assessment and Effective Language Instruction   Bei Li Chinese Department F Asian School One Diagnosing students’ differences in language learning and providing them with effective instruction accordingly is a crucial step in bringing up student’s language proficiency. Having served as teaching team leader and OPI tester for years, the presenter would like to share her views and experience on this topic.  This presentation consists of two parts. In the first part, the presenter will explore the importance of diagnosing students’ differences in language learning, including different learning styles (e.g. global or particular learner), different sensory preferences (e.g. visual or auditory) and different personalities. In the second part, the presenter will share her experience on providing effective instruction and designing learning strategies and plans based on each student’s background and situation.
