Abstract:

This presentation showcases a variety of creative projects by students, a generation “born digital,” in upper-division college Japanese language courses. Then, the presenter describes and analyzes how students created imaginative movie and manga scripts, and illuminates their cognitive, meta-cognitive, and social strategies. Useful tips for creative writing are shared.
