Unformatted Document Text:  Mock trial Facts Theresa Cox, age 38, has been discovered by Maryland State police to have been a two year paid subscriber to a website that advertises that it specializes in nude pictures of 10-12 year old girls posing on beaches and in locker rooms. (Several hundred of these photographs have been downloaded and found on her home computer. She has been arrested and threatened with prosecution under the Maryland Child Pornography Prevention Act (1996). This law prohibits the creation, sale or possession of any obscene depictions or stories related to sexual activity by children. Cox has also been fired from her job as an accountant for Baltimore County government. She has challenged both her prosecution and dismissal as a violations of her First Amendment rights.
