The intent was to determine if students thought that they would have sufficiently developed these skills or developed them to the same degree if they had not taken the course. The outcome is somewhat ambiguous, which may reflect the inadequate wording. However, for questions 1-4, the results clearly suggest that students felt that they advanced their research, writing, critical thinking, and oral presentation skills in the course. Question seven asked: Which part of the experience (independent research, coach at school, working at Model UN conference, research conference presentation) do you feel was most important to your academic career?
