Abstract:

The document provided here is an overview of the Student Political Issues Conventions and Agenda as well as the plans for the Fall 2008. The presenters in this workshop will share 1) their individual political engagement activities, 2) the resources provided by the Carnegie Endowment for the Advancement of Education's Political Engagement Project (PEP) highlighted in Educating for Democracy by Colby, Beaumont, Ehrlich, and Corngold, and 3) the collaborative efforts of some of the PEP members seen with the Student Political Issues Conventions.
