Abstract:

This paper is interested in exploring the evolution and management of the relationships between religious leaders and their immediate and broader institutional communities. Specifically, I wish to explore the ways in which they communicate with these communities in the context of the community development issues specific to those populations as well as the benefits and/or detriments that managing the boundaries between those arenas may involve. In addition to the exploration of the management of these relationships, I am also interested in explicating the role that religious leaders play in the network of service providers in their respective communities.
