Abstract:

Other than anecdotal information, little research exists evaluating the prestige of journals in forensic psychology. Given the limited information, people actively involved in the field of forensic psychology were surveyed about the quality of journals and the top journals that publish forensic psychology research. Participants were asked to rank journal quality on a 3-tier scale and to list the top five journals in the field. The results of both items significantly overlapped. In fact, two of the top three journals on both lists are the same (i.e., Law and Human Behavior; Psychology, Public Policy, and Law).
