Abstract:

Barack Obama is likely to bring about major changes in US policy towards Africa. These changes are a product of his background and perception of the continent and its needs. In the past Obama has closely aligned his operational policies with his declared policies. This will continue to be the case in Africa. As part of the global world view Obama will reach out towards developing states.
