|
When people in the US collaborate with partners in Democratic Republic of Congo, good intentions cannot overcome differing expectations for how people use technologies to facilitate communication. This study focuses on a collaboration between a professor and the founder of First Step Initiative microfinance NGO for women entrepreneurs in the DRC. This study explores whether social networking and cell phones can be used to establish communication channels that meet interpersonal expectations for all participants. |
