Abstract:

This presentation focuses on the role of humor in foreign-language teaching. Benefits and theoretical considerations are illustrated by practical examples of how to locate humorous sources and create instructional materials that promote students’ language and intercultural competence and foster the development of multiple literacies in elementary- and intermediate-level Italian classrooms.
