Abstract:

The presenter will present an instructional model with practical principles for teaching Chinese as a foreign language to K-12 non-heritage learners. Emphasizing both content knowledge and pedagogy on Chinese language instruction, the model is the result of an analysis of articles published in JCLTA (1966-2008) and in TESOL Quarterly (1967-2008).
