Abstract:

The University of Connecticut Stem Cell Core provides support for human embryonic stem cell (HESC) research: We offer training courses in HESC culturing methods; we also assist the stem cell research community by providing HESCs from the NIH registry, and now introduce high quality and characterized HESCs derived in our own lab. We continue to expand our services to include induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology and characterization, derivation of xeno-free HESC lines, workshops devoted to specific stem cell lineage differentiation, and additional characterization services for analysis of pluripotent and differentiated cells, including high technology assays.
