Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

This paper examines two redesigns of educational administration/leadership programs at two different institutions; a medium sized public and the other a small private university. Although both redesigns were spurred in part by state mandates, each institution had unique catalysts and different processes. The authors compare and contrast the similarities and differences and how the catalysts and processes influenced the final products. The authors identify key program elements that support the development of school leaders who are committed to democratic and ethical ideas in line with New DEEL principles. Finally, the authors draw conclusions with recommendations for redesign teams.
