Abstract:

Identity theft has been increasing over the past few years and along with the increase of incidence of identity theft so has a new industry. Law firms, credit card companies, insurance companies and the like have created identity theft insurance. The question remains whether or not this insurance is actually needed, even effective, or in some cases legal. Many companies have been created that may just be another scam or crime. The growth of this industry will be examined and discussed.
