Assessing Psychopathic Personality Traits with the MMPI-2-RF: A Study of Criminal Defendants

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

The authors sought out to determine whether the newly developed MMPI-2-RF scales are significantly correlated with behavioral, interpersonal, and affective aspects of psychopathy. We investigated an archival sample of 106 criminal defendants who were administered the MMPI-2 (from which MMPI-2-RF scores were derived) and PCL-R as part of a court ordered forensic evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the MMPI-2-RF possesses a number of scales that tap into all facets of psychopathy. Results will be discussed in light of the ongoing construct validation of the MMPI-2-RF scales.
