Abstract:

After nears of neglect by forensic psychology, scholarly have more recently focused on designing and implementing effective interventions for offenders as well as specific groups of offenders such as the mentally ill, probationers, and sex offenders. The current study sought to assess the effectiveness of one such program by examining1876 sex offenders under supervision of the Iowa Department of Corrections from 2002 to 2007. Intervention outcome and recidivism were supportive of the effectiveness of the program. More specifically, results indicated that particular groups of offenders who participated in certain aspects of the program were most likely to benefit. .
